Sanat Eserleri Aracılığıyla Estetikte Güzel Kavramının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Her dönem içerisinde, güzel kavramına farklı bir bakış açısı getiren düşünürler, güzelin tanımına ilişkin sorulara yanıt arayarak güzelin sınırlarını ve boyutlarını araştırmışlardır. Güzel kavramının sınırları ve ölçütleri sanat tarihinin her evresinde farklılık göstermiştir. Her dönem kendi bütünlüğü içerisinde, toplumsal dinamikleri ve kültürel süreçleri doğrultusunda üslup özelliklerini şekillendirmektedir. Bu araştırmada güzel kavramının, sanat tarihinin önde gelen temsilcilerinin eser örnekleri aracılığıyla ilişkilendirilerek incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Güzel kavramının incelenmesi için farklı dönemlerden üç sanatçı ve eser örnekleri seçilmiştir. Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon ve Mark Rothko yaşadıkları dönem ve üslup özellikleri ile estetik açıdan incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Betimsel tarama yöntemiyle incelen eserlerde güzel kavramının her dönem özelliklerine göre boyut değiştirdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Kültürel deneyimlerin, duyguların ve sanatçının birikiminin de estetik ifade dilinin oluşmasında rol oynayan etkenler arasında yer aldığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Güzeli kendi dönemi ve sınırları çerçevesinde konumlandırmak gerekir. Toplumdan topluma, kültürden kültüre estetik farklılıklar oluşmaktadır. Farklı kültürel pratikler ve sosyo-kültürel dinamikler içinde yetişen sanatçıların, sanatsal algı ve birikimleri de başkalaşarak değişim göstermektedir.

Within each period, thinkers who brought a different perspective to the concept of beauty searched for answers to questions about the definition of beauty and investigated the limits and dimensions of beauty. The boundaries and criteria of the concept of beauty have varied in every stage of art history. Each period, in its entirety, shapes its stylistic features in line with social dynamics and cultural processes. In this research, it is aimed to examine the concept of beautiful by associating the leading representatives of art history through the works of art. Three artists and works from different periods were selected to examine the concept of beautiful. Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon and Mark Rothko have been studied in terms of aesthetics and stylistic features. In the works examined with descriptive scanning method, it has been observed that the concept of beautiful changes dimension according to the characteristics of each period. It was concluded that cultural experiences, emotions and the accumulation of the artist are among the factors that play a role in the formation of the language of aesthetic expression. The beauty should be positioned within the framework of its own period and boundaries. Aesthetic differences occur from society to society, from culture to culture. The artistic perceptions and accumulations of the artists who have grown up in different cultural practices and socio-cultural dynamics have also changed.
