The aim of this study is to determine connectedness of students at the Faculty of Sport Sciences in Turkey to nature and environmental attitudes and examine the relationships between them. The study consists of 389 (Ageaverage = 21.09 ± 3.06) volunteers who study in the Faculty of Sports Sciences located in 5 different provinces of Turkey. Data from the study were collected online via “Google Forms” using the ‘Personal Information Form’, ‘Connectedness to the Nature Scale’ and “Environmental Attitude Scale” using a screening model from quantitative research methods. Data were examined through SPSS 21.0 program by using percent (%), frequency (f), arithmetic average, Independent samples test, ANOVA, Tukey HSD, and Pearson correlation were applied. As a result of the analysis made according to the variables of gender, department, and class level, it was determined that there was no significant difference in the nature dependency scale (p > 0.05), while there was a significant difference in the environmental attitude scale (p < 0.05). At the same time, a positive correlation was found in the correlation analysis between the connectedness to nature and environmental attitude scores (r = 0.176; p = 0.000, p < 0.01). © 2021, Scibulcom Ltd..
