Widom lines related with the relaxational dynamics for the Ising model

Abstract

We have presented a phenomenological description for the relaxation dynamics (RD) of Ising ferromagnets in the presence of external magnetic field (h). We calculate two characteristic times using the rate constants which satify the Onsager reciprocity theorem. The temperature and magnetic field variations of these times were produced. We have shown that the extrema of the curves observed when h = 0 determine the loci of correlation length maxima or the Widom lines. Results are compared to those of response functions and thermodynamic curvature and a good agreement is achieved.
