Milli Değerlerin Kazanımında Sosyal ve Kültürel Faaliyetlerin Etkisi Ölçeği: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract

Eğitimin gayelerinden biri toplumun geneli tarafından kabul görmüş değerleri gelecek kuşaklara aktarmak ve onların bu değerlerini içselleştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Okullardaki değerler eğitimi, ayrı bir ders olarak değil tüm dersler içindeki bir müfredat çerçevesinde yapılır. Bu bağlamda okullarda öğrencilere aktarılmak istenen değerlerin sadece derslerde değil dersler dışındaki sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetlerde verilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Değerler eğitimi kapsamında gezi, yarışma, izcilik, kitap okuma, seminer, konferans, kamp vb. pek çok faaliyet yürütülmektedir. Sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetlerin, hedef değerlerin kazanımında ne ölçüde etkili olduğunu belirlemek ise önem arz etmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise öğrencilerinin değerler eğitimi kapsamında yaptıkları sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetlerin milli değerler kazanımlarına etkisini belirlemek için bir ölçek geliştirmektir. 2020 yılında İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilen araştırmaya toplam 769 öğrenci katılmıştır. Ölçeğin KMO değeri 0,944; Barlett testindeki kay kare değeri anlamlıdır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) sonucu ölçeğin 20 madde ve üç faktörden oluştuğu, toplam varyansın %63,3’nü açıkladığı belirlenmiştir. Birlik-beraberlik ve dayanışma, vatanseverlik bilinci, ailenin önemi isimleri verilen faktörlerin yük değerlerinin 0,57-0,82 arasında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Farklı bir örneklem grubuyla yapılan doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) aşamasında, X2=1,61 ve RMSEA=0,051 olduğu görülmüştür. Diğer uyum indeksleri NFI=0,97, NNFI=0,99, CFI=0,99, RFI=0,96, RMR=0,055, SRMR=0,043, GFI=0,90 ve IFI=0,99 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bu değerler, ölçeğin yapı uyumunun iyi düzeyde olduğunu göstermektedir. Cronbach’s Alpha katsayısı ölçeğin tamamı için 0,94, faktörler için sırasıyla 0,90, 0,91 ve 0,85 olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Ölçeğin yüksek düzeyde güvenirliğe ve maddelerin iç tutarlılığa sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre ölçeğin, sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetlerin, milli değerlerin kazanılmasına yaptığı etkiyi ölçmek amacıyla uygulanabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu ifade edilebilir.

One of the aims of education in general is to transfer socially accepted values to the next generations and allow them to internalize these values. Values education in schools is conducted within a curriculum within all subjects, not as a separate subject. In this context, schools intend to transfer values to students not only in class but also in extracurricular social and cultural activities. Many activities such as field trips, competitions, scouting, reading books, seminars, conferences, and camps are carried out within the scope of values education. Determining the extent to which social and cultural activities affect the progress of achieving the targeted values is highly important. This study aims to establish a scale for assessing the impact level social and cultural activities performed by primary, secondary, and high school students have on national values within the framework of values education. The research was conducted in Istanbul in 2020 with the participation of 769 students. The scale’s KMO value has been determined as 0.944, and the chi-square value has been found significant as a result of the Bartlett test. The results of the exploratory factor analysis (AFA) show the scale to consist of 20 items and to have 3 factors explaining 63.3% of the total variance. The factor loading values have been concluded to vary between 0.57 and 0.82. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) has revealed ?2 = 1.61 and RMSEA = .051 and the other fit indices to be NFI = .97, NNFI = .99, CFI = .99, RFI = .96, RMR = .055, SRMR = .043, GFI = .90, and IFI = .99. These values show the scale’s structure to have good fit. Cronbach’s alpha is .94 for the entire scale, and .90, .91, and .85 for the three respective factors. The scale has been determined to have high reliability and the items included in the scale to have high internal consistency.
