Üniversite yerleşkelerinde Wi-Fi erişim noktaları kullanılarak konum belirleme çalışması

Abstract

Üniversite yerleşkelerinde öğrenci, personel ve misafir özelliklerine sahip bireylerin konum bilgileri üniversite internet sistemi içerisinde yer alan kablosuz ağlar yardımıyla belirlenerek onlar için hazırlanmış olan duyuru, haber ve etkinliklerin bildirilmesi; bilginin ve erişimi hızının çok önemli olduğu günümüzde; hayati önem taşımaktadır. Bireyler, üniversite Wi-Fi ağına kimlik belirleme algoritmaları kullanılarak giriş yaptıklarında (authentication) Wi-Fi kontroller cihazları yardımıyla hangi access point üzerinden bağlanmak istediklerini bildiren bir veri paketleri gönderirler. Bu paketler içerisinde kişinin cihazının IP ve MAC adresi yer almaktadır. Bu isteğe onay verildiğinde aldığı IP adresine göre accesss pointe konum bilgisi öncelikle bina içi veya dışı sonrasında koridor ve sınıf bilgisiyle tespit edilebilmektedir. Bu konum belirleme işlemi sayesinde; öncelikle acil durumlarda müdahale yeteneğinin artırılması, ardından eğitim faaliyetleri ile ilgili haber ve duyuruların akıllı mobil cihazlar üzerinden iletilmesi ve son olarak da misafirlerin navigasyona ihtiyaç duydukları anlarda Wi-Fi hattı üzerinden yerleşke haritası ve bulunduğu konum bilgileri yardımıyla ulaşımını kolaylaştırılmasının sağlanması hedeflemektedir.Geliştirilen bu uygulama sayesinde kişi access point üzerinden kampus networküne bağlandığı anda veri tabanında daha önce kayıtlı olan MAC ve IP adresi yardımıyla diğer bilgilerinin sorgulanması yapılmakta ve kimlik profiline göre onu ilgilendiren bilgiler, duyuru ve haberler SMS yardımıyla kendisine iletilmektedir. Bunun için bir mobil uygulama kullanılabileceği gibi SMS veya ağ içi haberleşme sistemleri de kullanılabilmektedir.

It is of vital importance to inform announcements, news, and activities to the individuals who are students, staff and guests by determining the location information of them by means of wireless networks which are located in university internet system in university campuses because of importance of both information and access rate in these days. When the individuals enter into Wi-Fi network of the university by using authentication algorithms, they send the data packet indicating that with which access points they would like to connect through the Wi-Fi control instruments. Packets include the IP and MAC address of individual's instrument. When this demand is approved, according to the IP address taken, the positioning information for the access point can be defined primarily indoor and outdoor building and then in the corridor and class in accordance with the meters. Thanks to this positioning process, ability to intervene in emergencies can be increased and news and announcements regarding educational activities via smart mobile devices can be conveyed. Moreover, this process also aims at facilitating the transportation of the guests to their destinations using the campus map and positioning information over Wi-Fi when they need navigation. Her relevant information according to the time the database was developed this application, it is connected to the campus network via individual access points registered before the questioning of other information with the help of MAC and IP addresses is made and identity profiles, announcements and news are submitted to it with the help of SMS. -Network communication systems such as SMS or a mobile application that can be used for it can be used.
